We build custom guitars to support your specific musical needs. We use the finest responsibly sourced materials, including local woods where we can, to build distinctive professional level acoustic and electric guitars.

  • 32" scale 4 string bass, carved Walnut top, f holes, mahogany neck and body, Pau Ferro fingerboard and headpiece vaneer, mother of pearl fingerboard position markers, Hipshot tuning machines and bridge, Seymour's Duncan Baseline pickups and preamp.

  • 25 1/2" scale, D style Acoustic, oval sound hole, Cherry back and sides, sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, purple heart fingerboard, bridge and binding, Seymour Duncan wavelength pickup and preamp

  • D style Acoustic 6string guitar, 25 1/2 " scale, finger lakes sound hole with side port, Pau Ferro fingerboard, maple neck, two piece laminated walnut sides, maple back, sitka spruce top, ebony bridge.

Our Story

AndE Chase started his guitar-building career, in 2004 under the tutelage of legendary Joe Veillette in Woodstock NY, or Veillette guitars.  He quickly rose to Production Manager and main woodworker.  He handled everything from rough lumber through routing, neck shaping, and finish sanding. This also included workflow planning, sequencing, and working with Joe on improving jig and fixture design.

AndE has built over 900 instruments including ones for notable players including Dave Matthews, Mike Gordon, Keller Williams, Kaki King, Steve Miller, Vince Gill, Colin Hay, and many others.

In 2009 AndE started the process of designing and building his own instruments.

He brings the experience of working through the challenges of production environment and building complex instruments such as acoustic double necks, nine-string basses, and others to Chase Built Guitars.
